The best time to visit Phuket and the surrounding Andaman Sea is from December to Mai.

Until September climate and weather experiences some disturbances since rain comes down at times it won’t affect the holiday mood because it is endless summer in south Thailand anyway. 

Temperature is always in the high twenties and the climate is great throughout the years because of the unique location of the island which is open to east and west. 

Even when the weather is cloudy and rainy in the region there is a good chance for a sunny tropical island holiday. One of the reasons is the topology, there are no higher hills or mountains which could hold the clouds coming in from the Andaman Sea they quickly move on and with it the rain. 

The opposite is visible when traveling to Khao Lak and Ranong. At Khao Lak and the north are many hill ranges close to the waterfront and they make the clouds to offload their water.

Busiest months are January to March but even then hotels and restaurants not really crowded because there are many spread all over the island. If you are interested in sightseeing hiking swimming or just lazing around plus boating it's excellent all time over.
