Traveling around Phuket

The journey to Phuket and day trips around.

Travel to Phuket brings you to the right holiday and vacation destination on a tropical island slightly north of the equator. Since the weather is almost always good, exception is end of October - beginning of November, the island is a true all year holiday destination with local tourists and foreigners from all over the world.

Phuket island is for sure one of the best place for Asian holidays because almost everything fit together, works quite good, has a functional infrastructure, great resorts, warm tropical waters, what else you need for perfect beach travel, actually there are over two dozen beaches on the island.

The good news is the sandy waterfronts are never really overcrowded except Patong, as you can see below at Karon beach and Nai Harn beach.

Cheap flights to Phuket come in from every direction such as Singapore to Phuket, Bangkok to Phuket and plenty of other destinations to fill up Phuket beach resorts, hotels, bungalows, beach cottages, villas and apartments, no sleep on the beach or camping. Before tourism came to the island the main income was created in the tin mines, today the mines are filled with water and called Phuket Laguna.

Tourism and travel related activities are the main income for the Thai people on the island and one of the reason is also the excellent all year round weather, with the exception of around 3 weeks in October - November. Even when the weather is cloudy and rainy in the region there is a good chance for a sunny tropical island holiday.
