Nai Harn Beach

The waterfront is a bit off in the south west.

Nai Harn Beach is a good location if you don’t like it busy similar to Patong, Kata and Karon. Although it is remote it takes only about 40 minutes to Patong or Phuket Town with the car or motorbike.

The area has its own “micro climate” with several resorts and a few more beaches. There is also a beautiful Wat means monastery / temple structure at a small lagoon which gives a sense of Buddhism inThailand

The top lodge is the Royal Phuket Yacht Club, the bay in front of it is a popular anchorage for sailing boats throughout the year, see the pics, although the public marina is at Chalong Bay.

As usual there are plenty of low priced restaurants around, so nobody stays hungry. When driving through the car park of the Yacht Club Hotel, actually there is no yacht club it's only a name copy as usual, to Ao Sane beach some snorkeling grounds are available. Beyond that another sandy waterfront, limestone formations and corals are around. They are a ideal ground  for the fishes because they are quite undisturbed.

Kata Karon Beach

  • To the north is the Kata Karon Beach strip and further up (not visible here) is Patong the top waterfront on the island in terms of nightlife.
